Urgent Care Call Handler - Part time (22.5hrs/week)

We currently have an opportunity for enthusiastic individuals to join our Urgent Care team as Call Handlers. We are looking for individuals who thrive on working within a busy and varied environment and want to be part of a high performing and supporting team.

About the role:

You will be at the heart of our Urgent Care team and be ensuring the best possible care is delivered in this diverse and exhilarating role. It can be extremely busy at times, and you will thoroughly enjoy this environment where no two days are the same.

If you are looking for career progression then this position will certainly offer you a unique experience with the support of a thriving team. A typical day could look something like this:

  • Supporting the Urgent Care Coordinators to provide a quality and professional service.
  • Providing a professional and responsive central point of reference to health and social care professionals.
  • Carrying out additional support functions as directed by the Urgent Care Coordinator.

  • Excellent communication, telephone and keyboard skills
  • Ability to prioritise workloads
  • Working well within tight deadlines
  • Ability to follow instructions, procedures and protocols
  • Use your knowledge and intuition to support outstanding patient care

If you can bring all of the above, then we’ll provide all of the training and on-going development you need to be confident and comfortable in your role.

Please note that as our operation runs around the clock, 365 days of a year, you’ll need to bring a flexible approach to working hours because our rolling shift patterns include days/weekends, overnights and Bank Holidays.
