Our Response service is committed to delivering the best possible, patient centered care for the people of Wiltshire. The Response team respond to Telecare Calls where a Service User requires some additional support in their homes. Our Responders are not medically trained but if they require clinical advice they can contact one our Clinicians in our Clinical Assessment Service.

Our Response Team also provide domiciliary care to patients who have been referred to the Urgent Care at Home Service. This service is commissioned to support patients in their home and to avoid hospital admissions.

We’re seeking well-balanced and compassionate individuals with experience working with the general public to join our team of Responders in our Amesbury base.

You will be visiting people in their homes in situations of crisis, delivering short term planned and unplanned care. This could be at any time of the day or night and involve dealing with a variety of situations such as falls, floods and other care crisis’s which may occur. You may also be called upon to administer personal care, to support our clients, prompt medications and support patients and their families through end of life care. You’ll be given plenty of time to attend the visits and travelling time between visits is also taken in to consideration. This means you will have plenty of time to complete the visits to a high standard.

  • Experience of working in care
  • Good communication and people skills
  • An ability to remain calm under pressure
  • Full UK manual driving license
  • Some basic computer skills are necessary
  • A completed Care Certificate is desirable however we can help you achieve this
  • The ability to work a shift pattern which includes days, evenings, nights and weekends on a rolling four week basis.
  • We have 30 hours, 22.5 hours and minimum hours contracts available
  • An enhanced DBS will be required for successful candidate
