FP&A Manager

We are looking for an FP&A Manager to support the business in delivering the next phase of growth, which requires a rigorous, data-driven approach to reporting, financial planning, performance monitoring and strategic decision making.

The individual should be a Qualified Accountant with solid experience in FP&A and with strong analytical and financial modelling skills (including integrated financial models). You will have the ability to interrogate business and economic models and understand the key drivers of performance and value creation.

The role will report into the FD and will be responsible for reporting, budgeting, forecasting and ad hoc projects, working closely with the Senior Management to provide relevant, timely and insightful analysis for business decisions.

You will need a positive outlook when it comes to problem solving as well as a can-do attitude. Due to the nature of the work, there are times that deadlines can be quite tight, you will need to be used to this environment or comfortable and able to remain focused when working to these.


Main Responsibilities and Duties

  • Oversee production of management accounts and prepare variance analysis/KPIs
  • Lead for the annual budget and quarterly forecasting process including end to end accurate planning and delivery
  • Financial modelling including, but not limited to; workforce modelling incl. options appraisal and what-if analysis, financial modelling to support commercial bids and contract pricing/margin analysis
  • Preparing compelling, high-quality presentations for senior management and Board level use
  • Interface with budget holders and other stakeholders to provide meaningful and insightful analysis and support
  • Line management
  • Leverage finance systems to improve the accuracy and efficiency of management reporting, budgeting and forecasting
  • Ad-hoc project work and commercial analysis
  • Investment analysis and business case preparation
  • Process improvement

Requirements

  • Qualified accountant (CIMA, ACA, ACCA or equivalent)
  • Experience in month end, forecasting and budgeting processes, financial modelling, monthly reporting and business partnering / FP&A
  • Team player, but capable of working independently
  • Strong communicator with proven track record of excellent stakeholder management skills
  • Competent individual able to seek information from multiple sources to formulate a balanced answer
  • Highly motivated, proactive, organised, with the ability to multi-task
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Skilled in use of MS Office, with emphasis on strong excel and presentational skills
  • Comfortable taking ownership for projects and driving these to a successful conclusion Enthusiasm
