To be successful here and enjoy your work you need resilience, efficiency and a sense of humour.
I was already familiar with the organisation, it is local to me and I like the convenience of the role.
In addition to my role as a GP, I also worked in the previous Out of Hours system.
As the mobile doctor, I visit housebound patients as well as residents in care homes and nursing homes. I also triage patients from the base and whilst the driver is taking me to the next visit.
I like the people I work with.
As this is an extra job for me to do, resilience can be a challenge especially in managing my GP practice workload.
Resilience, efficiency and a sense of humour.
I'm supported by colleagues and by direct contact with the Medical Director, Jamie Brosch.
It's essential - I wouldn't do it otherwise.
Medvivo's local ownership - the founders were local GPs, and the Medical Director, Jamie Brosch, was one of them.
It is a supportive and flexible organisation, and I would encourage you to apply.
